Russwin Francisco

Russwin Francisco is an American actor, singer, and producer. He was an accredited investor in the Broadway production of Here Lies Love. He appeared as Manny and produced The Girl Who Left Home, a musical film that won Best Picture at the 2021 DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival.

Francisco has performed singing and non-singing roles in Washington DC area community theaters and theater festivals for more than 30 years. His credits include the Pharoah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lun Tha in The King and I, Simba in The Lion King, Bernardo in West Side Story, Harry Barker in Meet Me in St. Louis, Marryin' Sam in Li'L Abner, and Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol.

An accomplished jazz vocalist, Francisco co-owned Black Fox Lounge, a jazz venue which frequently received excellent industry reviews. For 21 years, he sang and styled songs with Nuance, an a cappella ensemble. He was a featured tenor soloist of the Lesbian and Gay Chorus of Washington DC.

Francisco crafts short stories and poetry. He wrote and directed a play that won a national competition sponsored by the De La Salle University. He has attained public recognition for declamatory and oratorical speech including a national award in extemporaneous storytelling from the Children's Museum and Library, Inc. He performed in a live broadcast dramatic series on DZRH, a well-known radio station in the Philippines.
